Ian puking is a gross gagging and vomiting sound effect used for disgust reactions, gross out jokes and moments when something looks or tastes terrible.

This is a close up recording of a man named Ian retching, gagging and throwing up for almost fifteen seconds, with wet splashes and strained heaves that build without cutting away. There is no music or dialogue to soften it, just the raw uncomfortable sound of someone really being sick. That length and realism is what makes it so effective and so awful to listen to. Viewers instantly feel disgust, sympathy or nervous laughter, because the body reacts before they can think, which is why creators let it play longer than a quick sound effect normally would.

Unlike short cartoon vomit effects, this clip circulates online as a long, realistic puking sound attributed only to someone named Ian, with no confirmed show, movie or game behind it. It spread through soundboards where users keep it for gross out humour and reaction edits, precisely because it lasts around fifteen seconds and sounds unscripted. That makes it a go to choice when a brief gag is not disgusting enough, and it is still shared for pranks, challenge videos and exaggerated disgust reactions across social clips and streams.
