Commentator shouting I can't believe Scott Sterling from the viral Studio C soccer sketch, used for unbelievable saves, fails and face blocks.

A stunned sports commentator repeats his disbelief as goalkeeper Scott Sterling keeps stopping shots with his face instead of his hands. The delivery climbs from shock to exhausted amazement, with the crowd and match noise making the moment feel like a real broadcast gone wrong. Sterling never reacts like a normal player, he just gets back into position, which makes the commentary even funnier. Listeners instantly picture the battered keeper and the absurd save, so the line works as instant shorthand for something impossible happening again and somehow working out.

Scott Sterling debuted in a 2014 Studio C sketch in which a soccer goalkeeper, played by Matt Meese, repeatedly blocks penalty shots with his face while commentators lose their composure. The BYUtv comedy clip spread widely on YouTube and social media, turning Sterling into a shorthand for heroic, accidental endurance. A follow up volleyball sketch cemented the character, and the stunned commentary line was clipped for reaction videos, sports edits and memes about anyone who keeps surviving impacts they really should not.
