このサウンドについて

The eerie piano-led intro from John Carpenter's Halloween, used in horror edits, spooky reveals, costume videos, and suspenseful Halloween posts.

The Halloween classic intro is a short excerpt of the film's instantly recognizable theme, built around a stark repeating piano figure and an insistent uneven pulse. Its sparse notes feel cold and mechanical, while the dark synth backing steadily raises tension. The clip creates an immediate sense of stalking danger before anything frightening appears on screen. Because the melody is so closely associated with Michael Myers, even a brief section can turn an ordinary entrance, hallway shot, or costume reveal into a slasher-style moment.

Released with John Carpenter's Halloween in 1978, the main theme was composed and performed by Carpenter as part of the film's minimalist electronic score. Its recurring piano motif became inseparable from Michael Myers and the franchise's identity, returning in later Halloween films and related media. Online, creators use short excerpts to signal that a scene is turning ominous, especially during October, horror retrospectives, costume reveals, and parody edits. The melody remains effective because listeners recognize its threat within only a few notes.
