このサウンドについて

The short “Do the roar” quote from Shrek, used in memes and reaction edits when someone wants a weird, blunt demand or an awkward punchline.

This clip is the tiny “Do the roar” line associated with Shrek, delivered in a flat, slightly demanding way that makes it instantly funny out of context. Even though it lasts well under a second, it lands as a sharp comedy button because the phrasing is so oddly specific. Creators use it to interrupt a scene, undercut a serious moment, or add a sudden childish demand to a conversation. The humor comes from how abrupt it is and how familiar the quote is to people who know the Shrek meme.

The quote comes from the Shrek film series and became especially memorable online as a short standalone reaction sound. Meme pages, edits, and short-form videos helped turn “Do the roar” into a recognizable punchline because it is brief, strange, and easy to place over almost any awkward setup. It remains popular in meme culture for reaction posts where a character, friend, or crowd seems to be demanding something bluntly. Its staying power comes from how quickly viewers recognize both the Shrek reference and the uncomfortable comedic timing.
