Arriba las Chivas is a short football chant for Mexican club Guadalajara, used by fans to celebrate goals, wins and team pride in videos and chats online.

Arriba las Chivas is a loud stadium style chant where fans shout the phrase in unison to support Club Deportivo Guadalajara. The recording is short and energetic, with a rising, celebratory tone that sounds like a crowd lifting their team before a match or after a goal. It captures the pride and identity tied to Chivas, one of Mexico's most popular football clubs. Listeners instantly hear it as encouragement rather than commentary, a quick burst of devotion that works even without visuals because the name and the chant rhythm are so recognisable to football fans.

The phrase arriba las Chivas comes from supporter culture around Club Deportivo Guadalajara, founded in 1906 and widely known simply as Chivas, Spanish for goats. Fans have long used arriba, meaning go up or come on, as a rallying cry at Estadio Akron and in away sections. Television broadcasts, fan videos and social media clips helped turn the short shout into a shareable audio cue beyond the stadium, often paired with crowd cheering in fan edits. It remains closely associated with the red and white striped club and its all Mexican player tradition.

What does arriba las Chivas mean?

It is Spanish for go Chivas or up the Chivas, a rallying shout for Club Deportivo Guadalajara. Fans use it as encouragement, similar to come on, and it expresses support and pride before matches, after goals and during celebrations.

Where does the Arriba las Chivas chant come from?

The chant comes from Chivas supporters in Mexican football, centred on Guadalajara home matches and travelling fan groups. Broadcast microphones and fan recordings spread the shout, and short clips later circulated on social media and soundboards as a ready made celebration sound.

How do creators use this sound in videos?

Creators place it over goal replays, score updates and fan reaction moments for an instant Chivas celebration. It works best as a short standalone shout because the team name is clear, the energy is high and no extra explanation is needed.
