A short Allo greeting from François Pérusse's Les 2 Minutes du Peuple, the classic Québec comedy sketch. People use it as a funny phone answer or reaction clip.

This clip captures a bright, slightly puzzled Allo, the way a character in Les 2 Minutes du Peuple picks up the telephone. The delivery is quick and exaggerated, with that familiar Pérusse energy where an ordinary greeting already sounds like the start of a misunderstanding. Nothing else happens, and that is the joke. Dropped into a conversation or a video, it instantly signals a call beginning, confusion, or someone pretending not to know who is calling. Its brevity makes it land cleanly before the next line, reaction or punchline follows immediately afterwards.

Les 2 Minutes du Peuple is the long running comedy series created by Québec humorist François Pérusse, built around short sketches with sped up, distinctive voices he performs himself. First heard on radio at the start of the 1990s, the capsules became a reference in Québec and later across the French speaking world through albums, television and sharing online. This Allo comes from that telephone sketch tradition, where a simple greeting opens an absurd exchange. Short extracts like this now circulate as reaction sounds on soundboards and in edited clips.
