Informazioni su questo suono

A loud THX-style audio sting used for jump scares and speaker pranks, based on the famous cinema intro people recognize from movie trailers.

This sound is the familiar THX-style crescendo: a soft start that quickly swells into a huge, shiny blast of layered tones. It feels cinematic, sudden and much louder than expected, which is why people use it as a prank. The clip builds tension for a few seconds, then hits with that unmistakable wall of sound that can startle anyone wearing headphones or sitting near a speaker. On video, it works as a fake serious intro before cutting to something silly, awkward or completely unrelated.

This sound is based on the iconic THX audio logo, commonly known for playing before films in cinemas and on home video releases. Online, people clipped or recreated that dramatic swell and turned it into a prank sound because of its slow buildup and very loud payoff. It spread through meme edits, Discord jokes and compilation videos where viewers expect something normal and get hit with a theater-style blast instead. Its recognisable shape keeps it popular for fake intros and jumpy punchlines.

What is the THX prank sound?

It is a prank version of the well-known THX-style intro sound, a rising cinematic swell that ends in a very loud blast. People use it to surprise listeners, fake a movie opening, or add a dramatic punchline to edits.

Where is this sound from?

It is based on the famous THX audio logo heard before many films and video releases. The prank version usually uses that recognisable buildup and impact because so many people instantly associate it with a cinema intro.

Why do people use this sound in memes and pranks?

The clip starts relatively calm, so it creates expectation before suddenly becoming huge and intense. That contrast makes it perfect for jump scares, bait-and-switch edits, fake serious intros, and headphone warning jokes.
