The famous Obi-Wan and General Grievous exchange from Star Wars, used in memes, edits and reaction clips for dramatic greetings or instant recognition.

This clip captures the iconic Star Wars moment where Obi-Wan Kenobi says "Hello there" and General Grievous answers, "General Kenobi." It plays like a calm greeting that instantly turns into a tense, memorable standoff. The delivery is polite on the surface, but fans know the scene carries a lot of weight, which is why the sound feels both funny and dramatic at the same time. In edits, it works as a recognisable setup line, a surprise entrance cue, or a quick prelude to chaos, especially for viewers who know the prequel memes.

This sound comes from Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, in the scene where Obi-Wan Kenobi confronts General Grievous. Released in 2005, the exchange later became one of the most quoted lines from the Star Wars prequels, especially as prequel meme culture grew online in the 2010s. People still use it because the setup and response are instantly recognisable, easy to quote, and perfect for edits that need a dramatic greeting. It often appears alongside other cinematic reaction sounds such as Darth Vader NOOOOOOOOO!
