The waterlogged head shake sound effect from Goofy's 1961 cartoon Aquamania, with wet splashing as he shakes water off. Great for pool fails and cartoon wipeouts.

This is the classic cartoon sound of Goofy shaking a head full of water after a dunking, taken from the 1961 short Aquamania. It starts with a loose, wobbly flapping as his cheeks and ears whip side to side, layered with bright splashes and droplets flying off in every direction. The rhythm is goofy and frantic, slowing as the last drops shake loose. On a viewer it lands as pure slapstick, instantly selling the image of someone soaked, dazed and trying to recover. It is the kind of effect that makes a simple fall feel bigger, wetter and funnier.

Aquamania is a Goofy theatrical short released on December 20, 1961, where Goofy fumbles through water skiing lessons. The waterlogged head shake comes from a moment of classic Goofy clumsiness after he gets dunked. Like many mid-century Disney cartoon effects, the gag sound was built from layered splashes and performed foley to exaggerate a simple action. Editors still reach for it because the vintage cartoon timing reads instantly, giving modern fail compilations and animated memes an authentic slapstick punch.
