The synthetic cockpit warning that repeats terrain pull up, heard in Boeing 707 and 747 aircraft when ground proximity alerts trigger during flight.

The clip is the urgent, robotic cockpit alarm that warns pilots to climb immediately, with a flat synthetic voice repeating terrain and pull up over a sharp warning tone. It sounds clipped and mechanical, almost like a computer shouting through an intercom, which makes it feel instantly tense even outside an aircraft. Heard in isolation, it turns an ordinary scene into a near-miss moment, suggesting danger is suddenly very close. That contrast is why editors use it for dramatic reveals, failed landings in games, and jokes about almost crashing, because the voice alone signals panic, urgency, and a last-second escape.

The terrain pull up warning comes from the ground proximity warning systems fitted to large commercial aircraft, including the Boeing 707 and 747, where it alerts the crew when the aircraft is dangerously close to terrain. The synthetic voice was designed to be impossible to ignore in a noisy cockpit, which is why it sounds so stark and commanding. Online, aviation fans and editors have reused the recording in flight simulation clips, crash compilations, and memes, where its serious tone makes even a silly near-miss feel dramatic.
