À propos de ce son

DJ Casper's “reverse, reverse” cue from the Cha Cha Slide, used in dance edits, party videos, and comedy clips when someone suddenly changes direction.

This short clip captures the “reverse, reverse” dance instruction from DJ Casper’s Cha Cha Slide. The spoken cue arrives over the track’s upbeat rhythm, telling dancers to switch direction as part of the song’s guided choreography. Its clear command and quick repetition make the moment instantly recognizable, even outside a dance setting. In videos, the audio creates an abrupt but playful reversal, especially when a person, vehicle, animal, or unfolding situation suddenly retreats, changes course, or returns to an earlier position.

The phrase comes from the Cha Cha Slide, a line-dance track created by Chicago performer DJ Casper. An early version was made for an aerobics routine in the late 1990s, while “Casper Slide Part 2” was released in 2000. The song later became a major international dance hit and reached number one in the United Kingdom in 2004. Its spoken choreography remains common at parties, weddings, and school events, while the repeated directional commands also work naturally as cues for online reversal jokes and rewind edits.
