shocked at the butt

A short meme sound expressing exaggerated shock, often dropped into funny videos and edits as a reaction when something unexpected or absurd appears on screen.

The clip is a short, punchy reaction sound built around a moment of sudden surprise, lasting just long enough to let the joke land without overstaying its welcome. Its tone is playful rather than serious, with a rising sense of disbelief that makes an ordinary reveal feel absurd and over-the-top. Played over a cut, a zoom or a freeze frame, it turns a small visual gag into a bigger laugh, because the audience hears the shock before they have fully processed what they are seeing. That timing is the whole appeal: it sells the reaction first and lets the image do the rest.
