The Surprise Buttface voice line from the Juves enemy in Void Bastards, used as a reaction sound for jump scares and unexpected moments in videos and memes.

This short clip captures a Juve enemy from Void Bastards shouting Surprise Buttface in a taunting, gleeful voice just as it appears, turning a tense moment into an absurd joke. The delivery is loud, mocking and slightly unhinged, with the insult landing as a punchline rather than a threat, which makes it feel more like a prank than a fight. Heard on its own, it instantly signals that something unexpected has happened, and the ridiculous insult keeps the mood light even when the timing is meant to startle. That mix of surprise and silliness is why it works so well as a reaction.

The line comes from Void Bastards, a first-person shooter where the Juves are fast, manic enemies who rush the player while shouting taunts. Surprise Buttface is one of their distinctive barks, delivered as they ambush the player, and its odd insult stuck with players because it sounds both threatening and ridiculous. Clips of the voice line later circulated as a short reaction sound for memes and edited videos, where its sudden, mocking tone fits jump scares and surprise reveals far better than a generic scream.
