Plus Ultra is the school motto of U.A. High School in My Hero Academia, created by Kohei Horikoshi, which began as a manga in 2014 and became an anime in 2016. Borrowed from the Latin phrase meaning go beyond, it is most associated with All Might, the Symbol of Peace and mentor to Izuku Midoriya, who shouts it during his biggest attacks. The line spread widely through anime edits, reaction videos and motivational memes, where its earnest, larger-than-life delivery made it a lasting shorthand for pushing past your limits.
