Über diesen Sound

The frantic More DoTs raid-leader call from the World of Warcraft Onyxia wipe meme, used to emphasize escalating chaos, panic, or relentless attacks.

This short voice clip captures a raid leader urgently demanding “more DoTs” during a hectic World of Warcraft encounter. DoTs are damage-over-time abilities, so the repeated command tells players to keep applying attacks that gradually drain an enemy’s health. The rapid delivery, rising intensity, and barely controlled frustration make the line sound both commanding and absurd. Even without gameplay footage, it instantly suggests a team under pressure and a plan falling apart. Creators use the audio to turn busy, repetitive, or increasingly chaotic moments into mock high-stakes missions.

More DoTs comes from the World of Warcraft raiding culture surrounding the Onyxia encounter. The line became widely recognized through the Onyxia Wipe Animation, which visualized an intense recorded raid-leader speech and circulated heavily among gaming communities in the mid-2000s. Its exaggerated instructions made the recording understandable even to viewers unfamiliar with raid strategy. The phrase endured because it neatly captures frantic coordination, repeated pressure, and multiplayer frustration, while “DoTs” remains familiar shorthand for damage-over-time effects in role-playing games.
