In online edits, the clip can make an entrance feel grander, emphasize good news, or humorously treat an ordinary achievement as though it deserves a full wedding-style celebration.

Zaghrouta is the Arabic name commonly used for a celebratory ululation heard across the Middle East and North Africa. The vocal practice predates social media and is traditionally performed during weddings, engagements, homecomings, and other happy gatherings, often by women. Short recordings later became useful in messaging, reaction videos, and humorous edits because the trill communicates celebration without requiring spoken context. It remains recognizable online through its cultural association with joy, public praise, and festive family occasions.
