A brief correct-letter sound effect from the French TV word game Motus, used in edits to confirm a right answer, successful guess, or small win.

This very short Motus cue marks a correctly placed or accepted letter during the French television word game. It is a crisp, immediate game-show sound rather than dialogue or music, delivering confirmation in less than a second. Because the effect is so compact, viewers understand the result almost instantly: a guess has landed, a choice was right, or progress has been made. In online edits, its clean affirmative tone adds a playful quiz-show feeling without interrupting the pace of the scene.

Motus was a French television word game adapted from the format Lingo. It aired on France 2 from 1990 until 2019 and was closely associated with longtime host Thierry Beccaro. Correct guesses and letter placements were reinforced by brief audiovisual cues, including compact confirmation effects like this one. The program’s familiar rules, colorful grid, and rapid feedback made its sounds easy to recognize for regular viewers. The cue remains useful in nostalgic television references, quiz edits, and short reaction videos because it communicates success immediately.
