The item acquisition fanfare from Super Metroid, the SNES classic. People use this short jingle for pickups, upgrades, discoveries and retro gaming edits.

This sound is the short musical cue that plays when Samus acquires an item in Super Metroid. It starts with a bright, rising game jingle and has that unmistakable 16-bit sci-fi feel associated with big upgrades and hidden finds. Even though it is brief, it instantly signals progress, reward and a small moment of triumph. In edits and memes, it works well as a punchy way to highlight a reveal, a useful pickup or the exact second something valuable appears on screen.

This cue originates from Super Metroid, released by Nintendo for the Super Nintendo in 1994. It plays during item pickups, making it one of the most recognizable reward sounds in 16-bit gaming. Over time, fans began using the fanfare in gameplay montages, ROM hack videos and meme edits whenever a character finds something important. It remains popular because the melody is short, instantly readable and strongly tied to the feeling of earning a meaningful upgrade in a game.
