حول هذا الصوت

A fake jail collect call recording styled like an inmate phone announcement, often used in prank calls, skits, and surprise edits to make a call sound real.

This clip sounds like the automated message you hear before a jail or prison collect call, with a flat recorded voice and that unmistakable phone-system tone. It instantly sets up the idea that someone is calling from lockup, which makes it useful for prank audio, comedy skits, and fake voicemail edits. Because the wording is so familiar, listeners recognize the setup right away. The effect is a quick mix of confusion and laughter, especially when it interrupts a normal conversation or plays before an unexpected reveal.

This sound is based on the standard automated prompts used by jail and prison phone systems for collect calls from inmates. Versions of that announcement have circulated online for years in prank call audio, fake voicemail recordings, and short comedy videos. People keep using it because the wording is instantly recognizable and creates a believable setup in just a few seconds. Online, it works as a fast punchline for arrest jokes, friendship pranks, and bait-and-switch edits where the call turns out to be fake.
