Chase the Sun (Darts)

The driving opening riff from Planet Funk's Chase the Sun, the famous walk-on anthem for televised darts, used in sports edits and hype intros.

This clip captures the instantly recognisable synth-driven opening of Chase the Sun, a high-energy dance track that has become synonymous with professional darts. A pulsing bassline, bright electronic melody and driving beat build a sense of anticipation in just a few seconds, like the moment a player steps out to a roaring crowd. It sounds triumphant, upbeat and slightly nostalgic, turning an ordinary entrance or highlight into a big-event moment. Even listeners who do not follow darts often recognise the riff from television coverage, where it signals that the action is about to begin.
